The Connection Between Practitioner and Client: Why It Matters at Healing Arts Center

Healing requires more than a skilled practitioner. It requires someone you can talk to, be honest with, trust to actually listen, and who honors your boundaries. That relationship is at the center of everything we do at Healing Arts Center.

Every provider here runs their own independent practice. They chose this work. They built something around it. And they show up to it differently than someone who was simply hired to fill a role.

Victoria — Healing Arts Center

Victoria is a trauma-informed meditation and neuro-somatic coach who works with individuals, children, and families. Trust is built over time, and Victoria brings consistency, respect, and professional care to every session. Her work is based on understanding how the nervous system responds to stress and on working with it rather than around it, so every client feels safe, heard, and respected from the start.

Mark — Healing Arts Center

Mark draws on his military background and art-based coaching to work with people navigating transitions and self-growth. He knows what it means to rebuild. Mark takes time to learn each client's needs, preferences, sensitivities, lifestyle, and goals, so every session is built around what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Erin Freeman, LPC — But First Heal Thyself

Erin is a licensed professional counselor who offers cognitive behavioral therapy, brainspotting, and trauma-informed care. She is not just listening to what you say. She is paying attention to what you are not saying and meeting you where you are without pushing you further than you are ready to go.

Janice Landfair, LMT — Essential Wellness

Janice has worked with oncology patients, led Reiki programs inside hospital settings, and continues to teach clinical Reiki. She also offers lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy. She understands that the body stores what we go through and that skilled touch can reach places that words cannot.

Olivia — Coastal Stillness

Olivia built her practice around military spouses, family members, and female veterans. She is a SOF spouse herself. That is not a credential you earn in a classroom. She honors that trust by upholding clear boundaries, listening to your concerns, and prioritizing your comfort in every session.

Tracy Kiser — Whole Body Health

Tracy works with nutrition, NLP, and Reiki. She understands that how you fuel your body and how your body holds stress are not separate conversations. The relationship she builds with her clients over time becomes a powerful part of their self-care and healing, rooted in trust, honesty, and professional guidance.

Carly Robertson — Retro Wellness

Carly is a professor at Old Dominion University who combines Reiki with creative writing. She offers a special space where clients can process and express what they are carrying through words and energy work. The relationship she builds with her clients over time becomes a powerful part of their healing, rooted in trust, consistency, and an authentic investment in where they want to go.

Debbie Miller — Blue Pillar Sound

Debbie uses crystal bowls to support nervous system restoration. The body responds to sound in ways that most people don't expect until they experience it.

Schedule an appointment

The relationship you build with your practitioner is not a side effect of good care. It is the foundation of it. When you can be honest, when your boundaries are respected, and when the person across from you actually understands what you are carrying, that is when the work begins.
