10 Things to Know About Working With Us
1. We do not work alone.
At Healing Arts Center, we have built a network of vetted providers who are experts in their individual fields. Beyond what we offer directly, you have access to a larger team of trusted professionals, including CBT/DBT counseling, Brainspotting, somatic therapy, grief yoga, oncology Reiki, and nutrition coaching.
2. You are in charge of your session.
Every session is paced around your comfort, your boundaries, and your needs. You set the pace, and we follow your lead.
3. We take a trauma-informed approach to everything.
Trauma-informed care shapes how we communicate and how we show up for you. We never photograph clients without direct consent, we never upsell, and we never accept tips.
4. The mind and body are connected—we work with both.
Stress lives in the body, not just in your thoughts. Our work tackles both through somatic practice, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and medical hypnotherapy. Note: Our services are not a replacement for professional medical or mental health care.
5. We genuinely care about the people we work with.
This is not transactional care. Every client matters. Clients are invited to reach out between appointments via text or email for brief support at no additional charge.
6. Decades of Specialized Experience.
Our leadership brings a rare combination of clinical depth and elite operational experience to Virginia Beach.
Victoria offers 15 years of experience in somatic mindfulness and trauma-informed care. While she works with a diverse range of clients, she has spent over a decade specializing in the distinct stressors of the military community, chiefly within Special Operations Forces (SOF) and first-responder populations.
Mark is a Navy SEAL veteran with 25 years of service, a Certified Coach, and a dedicated meditator. He provides an unmatched perspective on leadership, resilience, and the mental discipline required to steer the complex transitions of high-performance careers. Together, we offer a grounded, practical approach to recovery and growth.
7. We are veteran-owned and understand service.
Healing Arts Center is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). We understand the particular demands of military life and the challenges of transitioning. Sliding-scale rates are available for veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families.
8. We believe everyone is allowed to access support.
Economic obstacles should not stand between you and the care you need. We are committed to providing as much access as possible through our sliding-scale program.
9. Self-compassion is at the heart of our work.
We do not believe in "performing" wellness. We believe in meeting yourself honestly and with patience.
10. Finding the right fit matters.
We want you to feel comfortable before you ever book. If you have questions about our approach or our practitioners, please contact us. We are happy to talk it through.
