One Roof, Many Modalities: The Healing Arts Center Collaborative in Virginia
Healing Arts Center began when Mark and Victoria saw military families struggling with deployment, transition, and reintegration without sufficient support. Spouses managed at home, service members returned and confronted challenges, and veterans waited for care that truly met their needs.
They saw a community in need of something different: practitioners who were not merely skilled in their field but truly invested in the people sitting across from them. With this in mind, Healing Arts Center was built on providing that deeper, personal care.
What started as a response to the needs of the military community in Virginia Beach grew into something that serves everyone in Hampton Roads. The thread that runs through it all remains the same. You deserve care from people who know what they are doing and genuinely want to help.
Healing Arts Center supports anyone who feels anxious, overwhelmed, or needs help. If this describes you, you’re in the right place.
Who Is This For
Holistic and alternative therapies are for anyone curious enough to ask whether there is another way. You do not need to have it all figured out before you walk through the door. Whether you are navigating chronic stress, processing something that has never quite resolved, looking for tools to support your mental and physical health, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, the only requirement is a willingness to show up. Healing Arts Center is for everyone.
What This Is and What It Is Not
Holistic and alternative therapies are not a replacement for medical or psychological care. They are a supplementary approach, one that works alongside whatever else you have going on and helps you obtain deeper insight into your patterns, your body, and the direction you want to move in. Many of our clients work with therapists, physicians, and other providers simultaneously. Our collaborative exists to fill gaps, supplying tools and support that traditional care may not always have space for.
What to Expect
It is normal to feel uncertain about attempting something new, especially when it involves opening up to experiences you may have been carrying quietly for a long time. At Healing Arts Center, nothing is rushed. Every practitioner in our collaborative works at the pace that esteems you and where you are. Sessions are built around your comfort, your boundaries, and your goals. You will not be pushed beyond what feels right, and you will always have a say in how matters unfold. The values that guide how every practitioner in our collaborative shows up are rooted in what we have written about directly. Each practitioner is an independent business owner, carefully vetted for quality, and joined by a passion for ethical and compassionate care.
Why Ethical Reiki Matters to Us
Every member of the Healing Arts Center collaborative is trained in Reiki, a deliberate decision. Reiki involves a level of trust and vulnerability that not every practitioner is prepared to honor. When someone allows another person into their energetic and physical space, they deserve a practitioner who keeps clear boundaries, protects their confidentiality, works transparently about what a session involves and what it does not, and never oversteps into diagnosis, prescription, or emotional manipulation. Ethical Reiki means showing up with proper training, honest communication, and an authentic focus on the client's well-being rather than the practitioner's ego or financial gain. At Healing Arts Center, Reiki is not a credential collected for marketing purposes. It is a practice we take seriously, hold to a professional standard, and continue to develop as part of how we show up for every person who walks through our door.
